Hi there, GMC owners. Today on your 2015 GMC Yukon, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install REDARC's Tow-Pro Elite trailer brake controller. To assist us with this installation, we're also going to be using the REDARC plug-in play cable that is custom fit for our Yukon and that will plug directly into the factory connector down below. This is this designed for trailers up to three axles. So you get more output on this one than you do with like the Tow Pro Liberty. All right, so we can see here on our adjustment knob, you get between zero and the 10 and it lights up red when we've got it at 10 with our manual slide. more

This is a proportional controller that works from 1 up to 3 axles. It's part number is TK90160. Here's what the Primus IQ is ultimately going to look like once we get it installed. If you can see, we've got a single red dot right here. That indicates that we've got power to the unit. If we go ahead and hook up the trailer what we're hoping to see is this switch and show a small "c". With the "c" being displayed that means that the brake controller does recognize our trailer. more

Today on this 2013 GMC Yukon what we're going to show you is the Tekonsha P2 Brake Controller, part number 90885. This is what the brake controller looks like once installed in a typical location. Now, a location can be anywhere on the vehicle as long as our the brake controller is in a straight line and doesn't have much twist to it. We can rotate this in a 360 degree range of motion. Right now if we look at our display we have a C for connection, a little dot here, shows that we have power going through the brake controller. A second dot here shows our boost setting. A boost setting is controlled by this button right here, boost 1, boost 2, boost 3, and no boost at all. more

Today a 2013 GMC Yukon. We're going to show a Tekonsha Prodigy P3 trailer brake controller, part number 90195. This is what a brake control looks like installed in a typical location. We'll go ahead and cover some of the features. First off, it comes with all the brackets needed to install. We have our two-piece bracket here and here and plus, our brake control is easily removed from that bracket. Simply unsnaps and if you want, disconnect right here by pulling up on this tab and then you can have it out of the way and trade it between vehicles if you like. Put this guy back up into place. more

Today on our 2007 GMC Yukon well be installing the Tekonsha Brake Controller part number 90885. Keep in mind this setup is for a vehicle equipped with the manufacturers 7-pole. First, well go ahead and identify the manufacturers wiring that well be connecting to. As you can see here there is a red wire with a black tracer which would be the manufacturers power wire, a light blue wire with a white tracer which would be the brake switch signal circuit, a dark blue wire which will be the power feed to the 7-pole brakes and then a white wire for ground. Lets go ahead and pull them free from the manufacturers harness now. Now, we can go ahead and mount the brake control bracket. more

All right today, on this 2008 GMC Yukon, were going to install part number 90885 from Tekonsha. This is a Prodigy P2 Brake Controller. A little prep work before we get started, were going to take the wire harness that comes with the brake controller and add some bloom loom material to it which is part number 459075-1. Well use about 2ft of it. And then we went ahead and added the butt connectors to the end of the wires. We used the bigger yellow ones for the heavier gauge wires and the smaller blue ones for the ladder gauge wires. more
